Daily Affirmations of a Child Model, Day 1: Today I Get to Just Be a Kid

Good morning! I'm starting something new today. Every day I'm going to share the words I say to myself in the mirror, one day at a time. This is Day 1.

It's Saturday, so today's affirmation is a gentle one.

Today's affirmation

I am a kid first. Modeling and acting are things I love to do, but they are not all of me.

Say it with me

• I am allowed to rest. Resting is not quitting.
• I don't have to earn today. I am enough even when I'm not booking anything.
• My smile is real because my joy is real.
• I can be silly and loud today and still be a professional on set.
• The camera will be there later. Today is for laughing.

Why I need this one

When you model and act, it can start to feel like every day is a test. Did I get the callback? Did they like my pictures? Am I doing enough?

But the best photos of me are the ones where I'm actually happy. You can't fake that. You have to go live it first. So being a kid isn't a break from my dream. It's part of what makes me good at it.

Today I'm going to sing, dance to K-pop in my room, and be with my family. And that counts.

Do one thing just because it's fun. Not for a picture, not for a post, not to get better at anything. Just for you.
