Sunday Morning Affirmations: My 48 Laws of Modeling (Kid Edition)

Hi everyone! Every Sunday morning, before the week even gets going, I stand in front of my mirror and say my affirmations out loud. It's become one of my favorite parts of the week, and today I want you to say them with me — not just on Sundays, but every single day. This post is for other kid actors and models, and it's also for casting directors and brands who want to know what I'm all about.

My Sunday affirmations (say them daily!)

I will get a job.

I will be discovered.

I am talented and ready.

I am confident in front of the camera.

I bring joy to every set.

Casting directors will see my light.

My hard work is paying off.

Every audition makes me better.

I belong here.

Today is a great day to shine.

My 48 Laws of Modeling

1. Show up on time, every time.

2. Know your lines before you walk in.

3. Smile with your eyes, not just your mouth.

4. Listen to the director the first time.

5. Every no is practice for your yes.

6. Be kind to everyone on set, from the director to the crew.

7. Keep your headshots fresh.

8. Be yourself, nobody else can.

9. Practice your walk until it feels natural.

10. Take care of your skin, hair and sleep.

11. Drink water, not excuses.

12. Say thank you after every audition.

13. Never compare your journey to someone else's.

14. Learn one new skill every season.

15. Dance like no one is judging, then like everyone is.

16. Read the script twice, then read it again.

17. Ask questions when you don't understand.

18. Stay ready so you don't have to get ready.

19. Treat a small role like a big one.

20. Keep your schoolwork strong.

21. Be coachable.

22. Hold your pose until they say cut.

23. Find your light.

24. Leave the set better than you found it.

25. Keep your energy up, even on take 20.

26. Own your look.

27. Celebrate other kids' wins.

28. Rest is part of the work.
