Why I Love to Sing (and Why I Have Been Singing for Years)

Some people know me from acting. Some people know me from modeling. But there is one thing I do just because it makes me happy. I sing.

I Have Been Singing for Years

I have been singing for years. I sing when I wake up. I sing in the car. I sing while I dance. My house is almost never quiet, and that is my fault.

Singing is how I let my feelings out. When I am happy, I sing loud. When I am nervous, I hum. When I have a hard day, a song helps me feel like myself again.

Why I Love Chorus

I sing in my school chorus, and it is one of my favorite parts of the week. In chorus, my voice is one part of something bigger. I have to listen to the people next to me, stay on my note, and breathe at the right time. When all of our voices come together, it gives me chills.

Chorus also teaches me things I use on set. I learn to listen, take direction, show up prepared, and perform in front of people even when I am nervous.

It All Goes Together

I love K-pop, and K-pop idols sing and dance at the same time. That is what I practice at home. Singing helps my acting too, because I learn to put a real feeling into every word. And it helps my modeling, because a girl who can sing in front of a crowd can smile in front of a camera.

My Singing Dream

One day I would love to book a job where I get to sing. A movie, a commercial, a stage. I will be ready.
